Hospital Affiliations Drs. Bhaskar and Silva maintain privileges at both Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula and Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital. These facilities offer both outpatient surgery centers and in patient care.
Born and raised in the Washington, D.C. area, Dr. Philip Bhaskar attended the University of Florida and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry. He received his D.M.D. degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. Dr. Bhaskar completed a General Practice Residency at the UCLA-Wadsworth VA Medical Center, his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency training at the University of Florida and a Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Florida. He has served as the President of the Monterey Bay Dental Society and was voted Outstanding Member of the Year by the Monterey Bay Dental Society. Dr. Bhaskar is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a member of the Academy of Osseointegration, the ADA and the Monterey Dental Society. Dr. Bhaskar has served as a Trustee to the California Dental Association and speaks nationally. Born and raised in the San Joaquin Valley of California, Dr. Perry Silva attended the University of California at Davis where he received a Bachelors Degree in Enology. He received his D.D.S. degree from the University of California Los Angeles College of Dentistry and his M.D. from the University of Florida. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency training and General Surgery Internship at the University of Florida. Dr. Silva is a Member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the AMA, the ADA and the Monterey Medical and Dental Societies. Dr. Silva is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He has been in private practice since 1995. |
